My hobbies are Drum `n` Bass and Diving.

Drum n Bass:

My biggest and most time-consuming hobby is drum `n` bass. By the visit of different stagings my interest in the music and in all what belongs to it grew. For four years now, I've already been active as DJ and I have been booked for varying events in my vicinity by now. So, I'm occupied constantly to keep myself informed.

My artist name is Phoenix K

My mixing style (Beatmatching):

Beatmatching is a disc jockey technique of pitch shifting or time stretching a track to match its tempo to that of the currently playing track. This allows beat mixing, smooth mixing between the tracks without stopping the beat or changing the tempo.

The technique was developed to keep the people from leaving the dancefloor at the end of the song. These days it's considered basic among DJs in electronic dance music genres, and it's standard practice in clubs to keep the constant beat through the night, even if DJs change in the middle.

Drum `n` Bass History:

Drum and bass (commonly abbreviated to D `n` B, dnb, drum n bass and drum & bass) is a type of electronic dance music also known as jungle. Drum and bass, originally an offshoot of the United Kingdom breakbeat hardcore and rave scene, came into existence when people mixed reggae basslines with sped-up hip hop breakbeats and influences from techno. Emerging in the early 1990s, the genre is characterised by fast tempo broken beat drums (generally between 160 & 180 beats per minute) with heavy, often intricate basslines. Today, drum and bass is still considered an underground musical style, but its currents of influence run throughout popular music and culture.

Diving:

In the age of 14, I've made my first diving-licence (Padi junior open water diver). Then, with 16, I passed the padi advanced open water diver test. Usually, I dive in the red sea (Egypt).
